As of September 2011, we no longer restore other people's vehicles—only our own vehicles from our inventory. Since then, we have been approached by many people practically in tears, because they don't want a Westy, they want their Westy. I own several vehicles that have been in the family for many years (some for decades). So I get it, you know?
What we can do is buy your vehicle from you, restore it, and then offer you first right of refusal when it is done—before we post it as available to the list of people waiting. We will do this under the following conditions:
• It will cost whatever it costs—no stone will be left unturned on the vehicle.
• It will take as long as it takes—we will add the vehicle to our restoration queue, and when it's done, it's done.
• It will be built the GoWesty way—no custom work. Each specific vehicle model is restored the same way, to the same standards.
• In addition to the sale price, you will have to pay sales tax and licensing fees.
Regardless of whether or not you decide to pursue this "first right of refusal" option, if you are still interested in selling your vehicle to GoWesty, we would love to chat with you.
