But this extra down travel can bring the upper control arm and ball joint uncomfortably close to the spring. Setting up standard-size springs to dodge the Upper Control Arm (UCA) was always a finicky process. Even when done properly there were circumstances where the UCA just contacts the spring, which can make an annoying clunking sound. This high-clearance spring bundle eliminates that interference problem all together.
