In the spring of 2017, GoWesty took our 2WD-turned-4WD race van down to Baja to compete in the famed NORRA Mexican 1000. It was the most grueling test our team has ever faced, and we are proud to have made it to the finish line and taken home a class win! 

In 2018, we made our triumphant return to the race, this time running not only our award winning race van, but also our ever popular 'Trainer' van that we teach folks to go wheelin' in. Both vans made it through the race victorious, taking first and second place in our class.

In 2019, our Trainer van made the journey alone for our third run of the NORRA Mexican 1000. After starting dead-last, the GoWesty team finished 1st-in-class and placed 129th overall, finishing ahead of 58 other competitors! 

In 2021, we returned for our fourth time to race the Baja 1000. (The 2020 race was cancelled due to the pandemic.) 91 vehicles started the race, while only 64 finished. The GoWesty van finished 51st overall, first in class (RV) We were driving a very slow race car, but a very fast house: and beat nearly half the competition!
