Do I need to replace my entire front nose panel if only the area below the windshield is rusty?

No, you don't have to rip out the whole front nose. This Upper Nose Panel (Top) is a shorter reinforcement panel specifically designed to replace the rusty metal just below your windshield.

Which Vanagon years and models is this panel compatible with?

This panel works with 1980 through 1991 Vanagons, including 2WD and 4WD drives, and models such as the Westfalia Camper, Campmobile, Carat/Hard Top Weekender, Multivan, Passenger, and Wolfsburg Weekender.

How do I know if this is the correct piece for my windshield spray nozzles?

For visual reference, this panel features two open protrusions at the top where your windshield spray nozzles fit.

What should I expect regarding the finish and condition of the metal when it arrives?

These panels may arrive as bare metal or primed. Please note that they often arrive from the supplier with minor scuffs and surface imperfections.
