Will this A/C fan switch fit my late model Vanagon?

Yes, this switch is designed to work with 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, and 1991 Vanagons, including 2WD and 4WD models such as the Westfalia Camper, Carat, and Multivan.

How is this aftermarket switch different from the original factory part?

While the original was a 5-prong, 4-position switch (Low, Med, High, Turbo), this replacement is a 5-prong, 5-position switch that adds an 'Off' position.

Should I use the new 'Off' position on the fan switch?

Although this switch provides an off position not previously available, we recommend leaving the switch on and using your temperature adjustment knob to turn the A/C off, as this matches the factory wiring.

Does this kit include the control knob?

Yes, this product is a replacement switch and knob for your A/C fan control.
