Will this battery lid insulation pad fit my Vanagon, or does it require modification?

This battery lid insulation pad is designed to perfectly fit the primary battery cover on Vanagon full camper, 7-passenger, and Weekender models. If you have an auxiliary battery cover, you might need to make minor trims for a perfect fit. It's a great way to protect your battery from short-circuiting on the steel cover.

How hard is it to install this battery insulation pad?

Installation is super easy! Just open your battery compartment, make sure the steel battery cover is clean, and then stick on this electrically-insulating pad. It's a simple peel-and-stick process that takes just a few minutes and provides great peace of mind.

What's the main benefit of using this pad instead of just relying on the original battery cap?

The original battery cap can be flimsy and might not offer enough protection. This dedicated insulation pad is specifically designed to prevent short-circuiting by ensuring your battery terminals don't make contact with the steel battery cover. It's an affordable upgrade for safety and reliability.

What years and models of Vanagon is this battery insulation pad compatible with?

This battery lid insulation pad works with Vanagon models from 1980 all the way through 1991, including 2WD and 4WD versions. It's suitable for various trims like the 7-Passenger, Campmobile, Weekender, and Westfalia models, whether you have an automatic or manual transmission.
