Will this lower rear corner body panel fit my Vanagon, and how do I choose the correct side?

This lower rear corner body panel is designed specifically for the Vanagon, fitting models from 1980 to 1991. Be sure to select either the left (driver) or right (passenger) side when adding to your cart, as they are side-specific. Double-check your Vanagon’s year and the side you’re repairing to ensure you get the perfect fit.

What finish does the panel come in, and do I need to prep or paint it before installation?

This body panel is supplied in bare metal, so you'll need to apply primer and your choice of paint before installation to protect against rust and match your Vanagon’s color. For best results, clean the panel thoroughly, use a quality automotive primer, and finish with your desired paint for long-lasting durability.

Is this lower rear corner panel durable and easy to install for a DIY project?

This is a quality aftermarket panel made to match the dimensions of the original Vanagon part. Many customers find it ideal for rust repair and restoration, and it can be installed with standard bodywork tools. While some experience with bodywork helps, careful fitting and welding or bonding will yield a lasting, professional repair. Don't forget to seal, prime, and paint for the best finish and corrosion resistance.
