How many grommets do I need for my Vanagon's rear emblems and inscriptions?

For the long "Volkswagen" or "Vanagon" inscriptions on the rear, you'll need three grommets per inscription. The round "VW" emblem on the rear hatch requires two grommets. It's always a good idea to have an extra grommet on hand, just in case!

Will this specific grommet fit my 1988 Vanagon and my friend's 1999 Eurovan?

Yes, this grommet (Part Number: 191-853-615A) is designed to fit both Vanagons (model years 1980-1991 and 1993-2003) and Eurovans (model years 1993-2003). It's the correct part for securing those rear emblems and inscriptions.

What exactly is this grommet used for on my Vanagon?

This specific grommet is crucial for mounting the rear "VW" emblem and the full "Volkswagen" or "Vanagon" inscription lettering on the back of your Vanagon or Eurovan. It provides a secure and proper fit for these exterior badges.

Can I buy just one grommet, or do they come in a pack?

You can purchase these grommets individually. However, considering you'll need multiple for the rear inscriptions and emblem, we recommend ordering the exact quantity needed plus a spare to ensure you have everything for a smooth installation of your badges.
