My old drip rail molding is looking pretty sad. Will this left front molding fit my 1988 Vanagon?

Yes, this Left (Driver's Side) Front Drip Rail Molding is designed to fit all Vanagon models from 1980 all the way through 1991, including your 1988 model. It's a direct replacement, so you can expect a good fit for your Vanagon!

How difficult is it to install this front drip rail molding myself?

You'll be happy to know that installation is straightforward! This drip rail molding is a press-on type, meaning no messy adhesives are required. It's designed to simply clip into place, making it a DIY-friendly job for most Vanagon owners. Clean the area well, and it should pop right on.

I need to replace the molding on both sides of my van. Do you have the right side front molding available too?

Absolutely! We know it's often best to replace both sides at once. You can find the matching passenger side front drip rail molding by clicking the link provided in the product description. It's the same quality aftermarket part, ready to keep your Vanagon looking sharp.

Is this the original VW part, or what exactly is 'Quality Aftermarket'?

This Left Front Drip Rail Molding is a high-quality aftermarket part from a reputable manufacturer, specifically chosen to meet the needs of Vanagon owners. While not a Genuine VW part, it's made to the same standards and is the best option available now that this part was previously hard to find. Many customers are very pleased with the fit and finish!
