What exactly is included in the Governor Seal Bundle for my Vanagon?

The Governor Seal Bundle from GoWesty includes the two crucial seals needed for your Vanagon's automatic transaxle governor: the Governor cover O-ring (part number 003-325-381) and the Governor shaft-to-differential case seal (part number 003-507-125A). It's a convenient package designed to save you money compared to buying the seals individually.

Will this Governor Seal Bundle fit my specific Vanagon model and year?

Yes, this Governor Seal Bundle is designed to fit all Vanagon models manufactured between 1980 and 1991 that are equipped with an automatic transmission. This includes all 2WD variants and various popular trims such as the Westfalia, Campmobile, and Multivan.

Is this a quality seal kit, or is it a generic replacement part?

This Governor Seal Bundle is a quality aftermarket kit, specifically curated for your Vanagon. It contains the essential seals to ensure a proper and durable repair for your automatic transaxle governor.

Why would I need to replace the governor seal on my Vanagon?

Over time, the original governor seals can degrade, leading to leaks. Replacing these seals, particularly the Governor cover O-ring and the Governor shaft-to-differential case seal, is essential for maintaining the integrity of your automatic transmission and preventing fluid loss. This bundle provides both necessary parts for a comprehensive seal replacement.
