Will this headlight adjuster fit my Vanagon?

Yep, this headlight adjuster is designed to fit all 1986-1991 VW Vanagon models—2WD or 4WD, passenger or Westy—if you have the stock rectangular headlights. If you're running the GoWesty H4 headlight upgrade kit, this is the specific lower lens adjuster you need. Just double-check your van's headlight setup to make sure it uses this adjuster style before ordering.

How many adjusters do I need to order for my headlights?

For each headlight assembly, you’ll need two adjusters—so a total of four if you want to replace all the lower driving lens adjusters on both sides. If you’re installing the H4 upgrade kit, order four adjusters to cover both upgraded headlights. It’s a good idea to have a couple of spares on hand, as these adjusters are known to be a bit fragile during installation.

Any tips for installing these adjusters without breaking them?

Great question—these adjusters can be a little delicate. We recommend watching the installation video linked on this product page before starting. During install, go slow and don’t force anything. Line everything up carefully before tightening. Applying a dab of grease to the threads can also help things go smoothly. If you encounter resistance, back off and check alignment to avoid snapping the plastic.
