Will this Heavy Duty Air Filter fit my specific Vanagon model?

Yes, this filter is designed to fit all 1986-1991 Vanagon 2WD and 4WD models, including the Syncro, Westfalia Campers, Carat, Multivan, and Weekender versions.

What makes this filter better than the standard stock option?

Unlike the standard version, this German-made Mann filter is specifically designed for 'Severe Service in Dusty Regions.' It is built for heavy-duty use and provides more surface area than the smaller stock filter, making it the real deal for four-wheeling and dusty terrain.

I have a 2WD Vanagon; do I still benefit from using a Syncro filter?

Absolutely. While it is highly recommended by Syncro owners for off-roading, this heavy-duty filter is loved and used by many 2WD owners who want extra protection when traveling through dusty environments.

Is this filter compatible with both manual and automatic transmissions?

Yes, this air filter works with Vanagons equipped with either automatic or manual transmissions.
