My GoWesty Hook-Up Box has a cracked frame after some rough terrain. Can this 'Hook-Up Frame (Bare)' really fix it without replacing the whole unit?

Absolutely! The Hook-Up Frame (Bare) is specifically designed as a replacement for the frame portion of your GoWesty Hook-Up Box. If the crack is in the frame, this part offers a cost-effective solution, letting you repair the existing box instead of buying a whole new one.

Is this replacement Hook-Up Frame compatible with my 1989 Vanagon?

Yes, the Hook-Up Frame (Bare) is compatible with all GoWesty hook-up boxes for 1980-1991 Vanagon models. You can be confident it will fit your 1989 Vanagon.

What does 'Bare' mean in 'Hook-Up Frame (Bare)'? Do I need to buy other parts to install it?

'Bare' means the frame itself is supplied without any additional components like the box housing or internal parts. You will typically be reusing the existing components from your original hook-up box. If you need any specific hardware for reassembly, it's recommended to check the product details or add any necessary associated parts to your order.

How difficult is it to replace the frame on my Hook-Up Box with this part?

While replacing the frame requires some mechanical aptitude, it's generally a more straightforward repair than replacing the entire unit. Many customers find it a manageable DIY project. We recommend carefully disassembling your original box to understand the process and ensure you have the right tools on hand before starting the installation of the new Hook-Up Frame.
