Will this left-side grease cap fit my Vanagon?

Yes, this grease cap is specifically designed for the left-hand (driver's side) brake rotor on all Vanagon models from 1980 through 1991, including both 2WD and 4WD variants. It's made to accommodate the speedometer cable hole.

How easy is it to install this Vanagon grease cap?

Installation is straightforward. You'll need to remove the old cap and then fit this new one onto your Vanagon's wheel hub. Make sure it's seated properly to protect your wheel bearings. No special tools are required beyond what you'd typically use for brake work.

Can I use this grease cap on the right side of my Vanagon?

While this cap physically fits the right-side hub, it's designed with a hole for the speedometer cable, which is standard on the left side. If you were to use it on the right side, you would need to seal that hole to prevent dirt and debris from contaminating your wheel bearings and compromising their longevity.

What's the benefit of having this specific grease cap for my Vanagon wheel bearings?

This quality aftermarket grease cap ensures a proper seal for your Vanagon's wheel bearings on the driver's side. By keeping contaminants out and grease in, it helps maintain the performance and extends the life of your wheel bearings, especially crucial for those longer road trips and daily drives.
