Will this OE-style luggage rack seal fit my Vanagon, and is it really identical to the original?

Yes, this luggage rack seal is designed as a direct replica of the original equipment (OE) seal and fits all years of Vanagon Westfalia models from 1980-1991, including 2WD and 4WD, automatic and manual transmissions. If you're prioritizing originality, this seal is your best bet.

I'm looking for a luggage rack seal for my 1985 Vanagon. Is this the right part, or do you have other options?

This OE-style luggage rack seal is a perfect match for your 1985 Vanagon and replicates the original factory seal. While we do offer a different, more budget-friendly seal that also works well, this particular product is for those who want the most authentic, OE-style replacement.

Does this seal only work for Westfalia models, or will it fit other Vanagon trims too?

This high-quality luggage rack seal is compatible with all Vanagon models produced between 1980 and 1991. This includes Westfalia, Campmobile, and Multivan variants, ensuring a proper fit regardless of your specific trim level.

I need to replace the seal on my Vanagon's pop-top too. Does this luggage rack seal come with that, or is it a separate item?

This specific product is exclusively for the luggage rack seal on your Vanagon. If you're also looking to replace your pop-top seal and want an OE-style match, we have a separate, corresponding Pop-Top Seal available. You can find it by following the link on the product page.
