My Vanagon operator housing cover is all yellowed and cracked. Is this aftermarket replacement the right fix?

Absolutely! This Skylight Operator Housing Cover is designed as a direct replacement for those aged, yellowed, and cracked original covers on your 1980-1991 Vanagon. It's a perfect solution to restore the look and function of your skylight mechanism.

What colors does the Skylight Operator Housing Cover come in for my Vanagon, and will it match my interior?

This operator housing cover is available in two classic colors: Tan and Gray. These are designed to match the common interior color schemes of Vanagon models from 1980-1991. Choose the color that best suits your van's existing interior for a seamless look.

I was hoping for a black operator housing cover. Is that an option?

While we don't offer this specific replacement part in black, many customers have had great success painting the tan or gray covers. We recommend using a durable spray paint formulated specifically for plastics, ensuring excellent adhesion and a long-lasting finish for your black operator housing.

How difficult is it to install this new operator housing cover on my Vanagon?

Installation is straightforward! We've included a video link on the product page that walks you through the process step-by-step. Most customers find they can replace the cover themselves without needing special tools, making it a simple DIY project to refresh your skylight.
