Will these Pivot Bolt Caps fit my Vanagon?

Yes, these Pivot Bolt Caps are designed for all Volkswagen Vanagon models from 1980 to 1991, regardless of trim or transmission type. Whether your Vanagon is a Westfalia, GL, Camper, or a Syncro with either manual or automatic transmission, these caps will fit perfectly over the rear suspension pivot bolts.

What is included in each package, and why do I need two caps?

Each package contains a set of two black plastic pivot bolt caps. Your Vanagon uses one cap per side on the rear suspension, so a set of two covers both sides of the vehicle. They are designed as direct replacements for the original caps, ensuring complete coverage and protection.

How do I install these caps? Do I need any special tools?

Installation is very straightforward. The pivot bolt caps are press-on, so you simply align them with the pivot bolt heads and press them firmly in place by hand. No special tools, mechanical knowledge, or modifications are required. Most customers report installation taking less than a minute per side.

What are the benefits of using these pivot bolt caps on my Vanagon?

These caps help protect your rear suspension pivot bolts from dirt, moisture, and corrosion, which can prolong the life of the bolts and the suspension itself. They also provide a clean, finished look to your undercarriage. Many GoWesty customers appreciate how replacing lost or damaged caps instantly improves appearance and helps maintain the value of their Vanagon.

How does the quality and fit compare to the original VW parts?

These pivot bolt caps are quality aftermarket replacements made from durable black plastic to closely match the originals in both fitment and appearance. Customer reviews consistently note that they fit snugly and look great, with several Vanagon owners mentioning they appreciate how these caps stay in place even under tough driving conditions.
