Will this power window wiring harness fit my 1987 Vanagon GL with factory power windows?

Yes! This wiring harness is specifically designed for Volkswagen Vanagon models from 1980-1991 equipped with power windows. It features OEM-style plugs and color-coded wires to ensure a perfect, hassle-free fit with your Van's original electrical system.

Is the installation difficult? Can I install the harness myself without professional help?

Many Vanagon owners handle the installation themselves. The harness is designed to be routed through your Vanagon’s existing door jamb rubber boots—this step can be a bit tricky, but taking your time and being patient makes it very doable. Each harness is sold for a specific door location (Driver’s, Passenger’s, or Center), so make sure you order the correct harness for the door you’re working on!

How does the quality of this harness compare to the original Vanagon power window wiring?

This aftermarket harness offers the reliability you need, featuring OEM-style terminal plugs and original style color-coded wires. It's a high-quality alternative to tired, brittle factory wiring, restoring smooth and dependable power window function to your Vanagon without the guesswork.
