Will these glove box catch straps fit my Vanagon, even if I have aftermarket air conditioning or a modified interior?

Yes! These replacement glove box straps are designed to fit all 1980–1991 VW Vanagon models, no matter the trim, stock or aftermarket A/C, or any interior modifications. They match the mounting points of the original parts and work with every Vanagon glove box out there.

How difficult is it to install these glove box straps? Do I need special tools or skills?

Installation is very straightforward and can be done with basic hand tools—no special skills required. Each kit comes with two straps (one for each side) and clear step-by-step instructions. Most customers report a quick and easy install, usually taking just a few minutes, restoring glove box functionality right away.

Are these replacement straps durable? Will they hold up over time?

Absolutely. These quality aftermarket straps are made from a tough, flexible material similar to heavy-duty rubberized zip ties, which is designed for long-lasting durability. Owners consistently rate these straps 5 stars for their sturdy construction and reliability, and enjoy improved glove box performance even after extensive use.
