Will these Sliding Window Guides fit my Vanagon model and how many do I need for my vehicle?

Yes, the Sliding Window Guide (Pair) is designed to fit all 1980-1991 Vanagon models, including 2WD, 4WD, Campmobile, Carat, Multivan, Passenger, Westfalia, and Wolfsburg. Each pair replaces the guide pieces at both ends of one window's aluminum track. You’ll need two pairs (four pieces) to do both center sliding windows on your Vanagon.

Do I need new Sliding Window Guides when replacing my Vanagon's sliding window weather-stripping?

Absolutely—if you're replacing the weather-stripping on your Vanagon's side sliding glass, we highly recommend installing new Sliding Window Guides at the same time. The guides are necessary for a proper fit and smooth operation, and old or worn guides can cause issues even after new weather-stripping is installed.

How difficult is it to install the Sliding Window Guide (Pair) on my Vanagon, and are they different from the originals?

Installing the Sliding Window Guide (Pair) [Vanagon] is straightforward and can be done with basic tools when you’re already accessing your sliding window for weather-stripping replacement. Simply remove the old guides and snap in the new ones at each end of the glass track. These GoWesty guides are direct replacements for the original factory parts—made from durable black plastic for a precise fit and long-lasting performance. Each purchase includes two guides, enough for one window.

Proposition 65: This product may contain chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.

These little black plastic guide pieces live at each end of the aluminum track piece that is attached to the sliding glass part of your center side window. If you are replacing the "fuzzy" weather-stripping between the panes, you will need to remove these. And, in the interest of your time, we're letting you know they will most likely break! Now that they are available again, you can yank 'em without fear.

Fits: All 1980-91 Vanagon center side windows.

Sold in pairs. Two guides are required per window, four required per vehicle.
