Will this screw fit my Volkswagen sliding window latch or interior door release?

This screw is designed to fit the sliding window latch and interior door release mechanisms on many Volkswagen camper vans and buses. It’s compatible with most VW Bus (Type 2) and Vanagon (T3) models from certain years. To make sure it’s right for your vehicle, check your VW’s model year and verify how your latch hardware looks compared to the product photos. If you’re still unsure, feel free to contact GoWesty’s support team with your VIN for personalized compatibility help.

How many screws do I need per sliding window latch or door release, and is this screw sold individually?

Each sliding window latch or interior door release typically needs one screw per latch. The screw is sold individually, so if you're replacing multiple latches or working on more than one door, be sure to order the exact number you need. Double-check the number of latches on your van or bus to make sure you have enough to complete the job.

Is this a genuine VW part or aftermarket, and is it easy to install for DIY repairs?

This screw is a high-quality aftermarket replacement, designed to match the size and fitment of the original Volkswagen hardware used in sliding window latches and interior door releases. Aftermarket parts from GoWesty are carefully chosen for their durability and compatibility, so you can install with confidence. The screw installs easily with simple hand tools, making it a straightforward project for DIYers and beginners alike.
