What exactly comes with this Locker & Decoupler Switch Panel for my Syncro Vanagon?

This listing is for the reproduction switch Panel itself, designed to replace your original. It's made using injection molding for durability and comes in black or brown. You'll receive the Panel, (4) switch mounting screws, and (4) illumination plate screws. Please note that the actual switches, the mounting bracket, and illumination parts are sold separately and need to be purchased in addition to this Panel if you don't already have them.

I'm not super handy. How difficult is it to install this new switch Panel?

Installation involves some basic DIY. While the Panel is designed as a reproduction, you will need to drill holes for the switch shafts to pass through, as these are not pre-drilled. We recommend referring to installation guides or seeking help from a mechanic if you're not comfortable with drilling and wiring.

Will this switch Panel fit my 1988 Syncro?

Yes, this Locker & Decoupler Switch Panel is specifically designed to fit Syncro models from 1986 to 1991. Its part number is 251-711-849R, ensuring compatibility with the intended Vanagon years.

I want to add differential lock and decoupler switches. Is this Panel the right choice?

Absolutely! This reproduction Panel is made for integrating locker and decoupler switches into your Syncro. It's a reinforced, durable replacement for the original, allowing you to neatly house your controls. Remember, you'll need to source the switches and related components separately to complete the setup.
