Will this Coolant Hose fit my Vanagon Syncro?

Yes! This Coolant Hose is made specifically for the 1986-1991 4WD Vanagon Syncro, including Westfalia, Wolfsburg, and models with manual transmissions. If your van falls into this range, you can be confident this hose will fit right where the thermostat housing connects to the crossover pipe.

How does this aftermarket hose compare to the original OEM part?

The OEM coolant hoses for the Syncro are very hard to find these days, but this aftermarket Coolant Hose is designed as a direct replacement with reliable quality. It's built to work just like the original part, ensuring your cooling system stays leak-free and dependable. Plus, it's made to last, so you get peace of mind without the wait or cost of tracking down a rare OEM hose.

Is this hose easy to install, and do you have any tips for replacing it?

Absolutely. This Coolant Hose is a straightforward replacement designed for hassle-free installation on your 4WD Vanagon Syncro. Just remove the old hose and install the new one in the same location—thermostat housing to crossover pipe. We recommend checking your clamps and surrounding hoses for wear while you're in there, so your Vanagon's cooling system is totally refreshed and ready for your next adventure!
