What makes the Syncro Pulley Seal different from other crankshaft seals?

This Syncro Pulley Seal is an authentic German-made part specifically designed for Volkswagen Vanagons. Its unique requirement is that it must be used with a specific pulley that includes a mating metal sleeve. Without this particular pulley and sleeve combination, the seal will not function correctly, ensuring a precise fit and optimal performance for your Syncro.

Will this Seal fit my 1989 Vanagon Syncro?

Yes, this Seal is compatible with 1986 through 1991 Vanagon models, including your 1989 Syncro. It is designed for 4WD drivetrains and works with various body styles and manual transmissions commonly found in these years.

I don't have the special pulley with the metal sleeve. Can I still use this Seal?

No, this specific Syncro Pulley Seal requires the use of a pulley that has a mating metal sleeve to ensure it functions properly. If your current pulley setup does not include this metal sleeve, this seal will not be compatible. You will need to source the correct pulley and sleeve combination for this Seal to work.

Where is this Syncro Pulley Seal manufactured?

This is an authentic, German-made crankshaft Seal, ensuring high quality and adherence to original Volkswagen specifications for your Syncro van.
