Will this valve adjustment screw fit my Vanagon or Bus?

This 10mm valve adjusting screw fits a wide range of Vanagons and Buses! Specifically, it works with: 1972-74 1700cc, 1975 1800cc, 1976-82 2000cc, and 1986-91 2100cc engines. If you have a 1983-85 1900cc engine, you'll need a different screw. Check your engine type to confirm the fit.

Should I buy the single screw or the 8-pack?

That depends on your needs! If you're only replacing one or a few screws, or just want to have a spare on hand, a single screw is a good choice. However, if you're doing a valve adjustment or a full engine rebuild, you'll likely need to replace all of them. In that case, the 8-pack is a great value and will save you some money!

What is this valve adjustment screw used for?

This 10mm valve adjustment screw is a crucial part of the valve train in your air-cooled Bus or Vanagon engine. It's used to adjust the valve lash, which ensures your engine's valves open and close properly for optimal performance. You'll use this screw in conjunction with our Lash Cap Kit (sold separately).
