Will this inner front door step panel fit my Vanagon passenger side from 1985?

Yes, this replacement panel is designed to fit Vanagon models from 1980 through 1991, so your 1985 passenger side door step will be compatible with this part.

Does this panel come painted or ready to install?

The panel typically arrives either as bare metal or primed. It may have minor scuffs or surface imperfections from the supplier, so some finishing work like sanding and painting may be needed before installation.

Is the passenger side panel included with the driver side, or do I need to order them separately?

You’ll need to order the passenger side and driver side panels separately. This listing is for the passenger side (right-hand side) inner front door step panel only.

How does replacing the inner front door step panel help my Vanagon?

Replacing a crumbling or damaged inner door step panel protects the door’s structural integrity and prevents water damage or rust from spreading, maintaining your Vanagon’s body condition and resale value.

Is this panel easy to install, or will I need professional help?

Installation requires some mechanical skill, including removing the old panel and welding or securing the new one in place. If you’re comfortable with bodywork, you can do it yourself; otherwise, a professional installer is recommended for best results.
