Will this front wheel bearing seal fit my 1988 2WD Vanagon Westfalia Camper?

Yes, this seal is designed to fit all 2WD Vanagon models from 1980 to 1991, including your 1988 Westfalia Camper. Just make sure you have the 2WD version, as it does not fit 4WD Syncro models.

Do I need one or two seals for my front wheel bearings?

The seals are sold individually, and since you have two front wheel bearings, you'll need to purchase two seals—one for each side of your Vanagon's front wheels.

I'm nervous about installing these seals myself. How easy is the installation?

Many customers mention that installation is straightforward because the seal fits snugly, which is actually a good thing to prevent leaks. If you’re comfortable with basic wheel bearing maintenance, you should find it manageable. Otherwise, a professional mechanic can assist.

Are these seals compatible with both manual and automatic transmissions?

Yes, this front wheel bearing seal fits all 2WD Vanagon models regardless of whether they have a manual or automatic transmission. Transmission type doesn't affect the seal fitment in this case.

How does the quality of this aftermarket seal compare to original parts?

This seal is a high-quality aftermarket product praised by customers for its durability and perfect fit. It offers excellent value without sacrificing quality, making it a recommended choice for servicing your Vanagon's front wheel bearings.
