Protective "Anti-Rattle" Guide Cap for Pop-Top Lifting Mechanism. 

This clever little upgrade solves several common shortcomings of the original Westfalia pop-top lifting mechanism.

From the factory, this component was nothing more than a small rubber bumper cap designed to prevent metal-to-metal contact. It works...for a while. Over time, the constant vibration and movement of the pop-top lifting H-bar while driving causes the rubber cap to wear through, allowing annoying rattles to develop.

We figured it was time for a better solution.

Our redesigned bumper is molded from a vibration-reducing urethane compound for significantly improved durability. We also increased its size to better support the H-bar and reduce unwanted movement and rattling while you're on the road. Finally, we added an angled leading face that helps guide the H-bar into position as the top is lowered, making it easier to close the pop-top while reducing the chance of pinching your tent fabric.

It's a small part that makes a surprisingly noticeable difference every time you drive or raise and lower your pop-top.

Pro tip:  The original push bar for the lifting mechanism bends easily and can cause these bumpers to end up in a position wider than the part of the body they are supposed to sit in. If your push bar is bent, check out our Heavy-Duty Push Bar upgrade.
