We are a Porsche, Mercedes & BMW shop...
But we got sucked into doing a big restoration on and 1985 Water boxer camp mobile.
Between what we bought directly and what the customer bought and brought in I'd say over $6000.00 was spent.
I get that a lot of this is reproduction and or specially fabricated, but I have not had to do so much filing and grinding and bending and shimming to make everything fit since I restored an old Corvette,
Also the text on the sight and there's plenty of text is sometimes misleading...
We got a cooling hose kit that was supposedly with a few exceptions supposed to be the hoses for the whole car, had a bout half of what we need and bunch of other stuff we had no use for, total waste of money.
We bought new stainless steel water pipes and spring clamp for the center connection hose were too loose and in blew the coolant out.
We bought a hose clamp set for the hose kit most the heater hose clamps were all too small to use.
There was a learning curve for us on this and what we learned is: Go Westy all that it's cracked up to be. It may be that they can legitimately pass the buck to there suppliers but if that's the case then everything they sell should come with disclaimers and warnings:
"MAY NOT FIT WITHOUT MODIFICATION REQUIREING REPEATED DISSASEBLY "
