Why LED instead of Halogen (or regular tungsten):
- Much lower power consumption: 17-22W vs. 80-100W
- Much longer life: typically 100,000-hour rating
- Whiter, more “daylight”-like light: 5400K-6300K color temp vs. ≈3200K for halogen and even less for tungsten
- No need for headlight load reduction relays and the wiring modifications that go with them
