Are you looking for a complete 228mm clutch kit for your Bus or Vanagon? We've got your bases covered with three performance options to suit your driving needs. Read on!

Fits:
β€’Β 1976-79 Type II Bus
β€’Β  1980-91 Vanagon (2WD and 4WD) Does NOT fit diesel Vanagons.

Available options:

Standard Clutch Kit: This quality kit is manufactured by Sachs, and comes with their standard pressure plate, clutch disc, release (β€œthrow out”) bearing, pilot bearing, felt washer, and alignment tool. We recommended this option for general use; mostly freeway driving, but not a lot of stop-and-go traffic or hilly terrain.

Heavy-Duty "Phase One" Clutch Kit: This kit includes everything in the GoWesty Standard clutch kit, except the standard disc is replaced with a Kennedy Engineering (KEP) Heavy-Duty Clutch Disc. The pedal feel remains unchanged, but the KEP disc can handle considerably more heat. Highly recommended for lots of stop-and-go traffic and hilly terrain, like San Francisco for example.

Heavy-Duty "Phase Two" Clutch: This kit includes everything in the GoWesty Standard clutch kit, except both the pressure plate and disc are replaced with Kennedy Engineering (KEP) Heavy-Duty parts. The pedal feel requires about 20% more force. Highly recommended for vehicles that see off-road driving (especially in deep sand), and vehicles running higher output engines.Β
