CV Joint (930 Axles) [Vanagon]

This was my first CV rebuild I've done myself. It has been about a year and a half and all is going well so far. I even drove about 7 miles up the Rubicon trail with a full van of 3 people, water and beer for 6. All good!

After replacing the CV Joint a number of times I finally installed the Porsche heavy duty ones in 2017 and they worked great. No more issues until 2024 when they started getting quite noisy on a long camping trip.
Upon looking at the CV Joints it appears that they have been getting hot with burn types of marks on the bearings. This is with about 45,000 km on these bearings. I’m going to replace the old ones but I’m thinking of updating my maintenance schedule to include replacing the bearings at about 30-40,000 km.
Otherwise we have been happy with the CV Joints and remain very happy with getting parts from GoWesty over the years.
