Which vehicles is this Throttle Cable End Barrel Kit compatible with?

This kit fits 1976-79 Bus models with EFI and all 1980-91 Vanagons equipped with original Digijet or Digifant fuel injection. It is designed for gasoline engines and manual transaxles, supporting both 2WD and 4WD drives.

Will this kit work for my Diesel Vanagon?

No, this specific cable end barrel and pinch bolt kit does not fit Diesel Vanagon models.

Where exactly does this part install on the vehicle?

The barrel and pinch bolt install at the rear end of the accelerator cable, specifically where it connects to the throttle body.

Should I buy this kit if I am already replacing my accelerator cable?

Yes, it is highly recommended. Since original barrel clamps can become brittle and break during removal, having this kit ensures you can successfully complete your cable installation and avoid being stranded.
