Complete 16-piece cylinder head stud sets for all Bus & Vanagon.

Buyer beware: Not all head studs are created equal. After years of dealing with intermittent supply and occasional quality issues with aftermarket head studs, we set out to make our own.
No, we did not just copy the “competition.” We found some new old stock (NOS), still-in-the-box genuine Volkswagen head studs and sent them to our local University (Cal Poly San Luis Obispo) to have them properly tested. They were snapped, ground on, hardness tested, and otherwise abused. We found out exactly what the original VW studs were made of, how hard they were, how strong they were, and exactly what all the sizes and details were. Then we teamed up with a premiere manufacturer that could execute them to perfection. They come individually packaged to keep them from getting dinged up or corroded during storage and transit.

Each stud set includes the following:

1969-1983 Bus & Vanagon with 1700cc - 2000cc Aircooled engine:
• (8) 191mm studs (medium)
• (8) 222mm studs (long)

1983-1991 Vanagon with 1900cc & 2100cc Waterboxer engine:
•  (4) 175mm (short)
•  (4) 191mm (medium)
•  (8) 222mm (long)

Replaces VW Part Numbers:• 025-101-143B: 175mm (short)
• 025-101-143A: 191mm (medium)
• 025-101-143: 222mm (long)
