Brand new heavy-duty aluminum bell housing!
- Fits all late-model 1976-79 Buses and all years of 2WD & 4WD Vanagons.
- Cast from A356-T6 aluminum instead of the original magnesium alloy.
- Heavy-duty design provides extra strength for off-road, engine upgrades, and other demanding applications.
There is one little difference from the original bell housing that matters for installation purposes. This product uses an early-style 18mm long locating bolt for the cross shaft bushing, instead of shorter late-style 14mm bolt. This provides more threads, which means it is less likely to strip out, which is a common problem with the late-style OEM bell housings. We call that an upgrade!
