My GoWesty Hook-Up Box flap is missing. Will this replacement part fit my 1988 Vanagon?

This Hook-Up Box Door Flap Replacement is designed to fit the GoWesty aftermarket Hook-Up Box specifically installed in Vanagon models from 1980-1991. It's important to note that this part is not compatible with original, factory-installed hook-up boxes, even if you have a Vanagon from those years. If you have a GoWesty Hook-Up Box, this flap should be a perfect fit!

Does this replacement flap come with the spring, or do I need to buy that separately?

The replacement flap itself is included with this part (model HB-1111). However, the spring is sold separately. You'll need to purchase the spring on its own if you don't already have one.

How difficult is it to install this new flap on my GoWesty Hook-Up Box?

Installation is generally straightforward. While no specific tools are required beyond what you might need to remove the old flap, we recommend consulting any documentation that came with your original GoWesty Hook-Up Box for the best guidance. Many customers find it a simple DIY fix.

I have an original factory hook-up box. Can I use this GoWesty flap replacement?

No, this replacement door flap is specifically made for GoWesty's aftermarket Hook-Up Boxes and will not fit original, factory-installed hook-up boxes. Please ensure you have a GoWesty-brand Hook-Up Box installed in your 1980-1991 Vanagon before ordering.
