Hey GoWesty, I've got a 1989 Syncro Vanagon. Will this front brake rotor fit my 4WD rig, and do I need to buy two?

Yep, that's exactly what this front brake rotor is designed for! It's a high-quality replacement specifically for your 1986-1991 4WD Syncro Vanagon. You'll definitely want to get one for each side, so grab two if you're replacing them. We always recommend doing both at the same time to ensure even braking.

My mechanic mentioned my Syncro Vanagon might need new brake rotors. Are these rotors a good buy? What brand will I get?

You're looking at a great quality aftermarket replacement brake rotor. We source these from top manufacturers like Zimmermann, Brembo, or ATE, depending on what's available. You're getting a reliable part designed for your 4WD Vanagon that will help keep your brakes performing well.

I've heard differing opinions on brake rotors for 4WD Vanagons. Is this rotor specifically for the Syncro model, or will it work on my 2WD van too?

This particular front brake rotor is made for the 4WD Syncro Vanagon models from 1986 to 1991 only. It will not fit the 2WD Vanagons. If you have a Syncro, this is the correct rotor to ensure proper fit and function for your all-wheel-drive system.

How do I know if I need to replace my front brake rotor on my Syncro? Are these sold as a pair or individually?

Signs you might need new brake rotors include a pulsing or vibrating feeling when you brake, grinding noises, or if your current rotors have visible grooves or are too thin. These high-quality rotors are sold individually, but we strongly advise replacing both the left and right side at the same time for balanced and safe braking performance on your 4WD Vanagon.
