Will this incandescent festoon bulb fit my 1985 Vanagon dome light and is it the right type?

Yes, this is the correct incandescent bulb for your 1972-1991 VW Bus or Vanagon dome light. It's a standard festoon bulb designed to fit all dome light fixtures from those years, ensuring a direct replacement for your original.

I see you also offer an LED version. Why would I choose this incandescent festoon bulb instead?

This incandescent festoon bulb is a direct, cost-effective replacement for your original factory bulb. It provides the classic warm light many classic VW owners prefer. If you're looking for the original look and feel, or if you need a simple and reliable solution without the potential compatibility quirks sometimes associated with LED conversions in older vehicles, this incandescent option is a great choice.

How difficult is it to replace my old dome light bulb with this new festoon one?

Replacing the bulb is typically very simple. Most dome light fixtures on your 1972-1991 Bus or Vanagon can be opened by gently prying lens covers or removing a small screw. The old bulb then pulls straight out, and the new incandescent festoon bulb pushes in to replace it. No special tools or electrical knowledge are usually required.

Does this quality aftermarket festoon bulb come with a warranty or guarantee?

While we don't list specific warranty details for every single part, we stand behind the quality of our aftermarket components. This incandescent festoon bulb is sourced from a reputable manufacturer known for producing reliable parts for classic Volkswagens. If you encounter any issues, please contact our customer support, and we'll do our best to assist you.
