Will this Glove Box Latch with Key fit my 1980-1991 Vanagon?

Yes, this glove box latch is specifically designed as a direct-fit replacement for all 1980 to 1991 Vanagons. If your Vanagon falls within these years, it should install seamlessly.

I lost my original glove box key. How many keys come with this new latch?

This glove box latch comes complete with keys, allowing you to once again secure your glove box contents. Typically, two keys are included with each latch.

Is this latch just a cosmetic replacement, or does it actually lock?

This is a fully functional locking glove box latch. It's designed to restore the ability to lock your glove box, providing security for items stored inside, unlike many older, worn-out latches.

My old latch is broken and won't open or close properly. How difficult is it to replace?

Replacing your old, beat-up latch with this direct-fit part is generally straightforward for most Vanagon owners. It's designed to be a simple swap for the original, making the repair process much easier.
