Will the smoked lenses make my turn signal lights too dim to see?

Not at all. Customers have found that these lenses actually make the lights more visible than the OEM orange lenses, and the amber bulbs shine through clearly without appearing muted.

What do I need to know if I choose the LED bulb option?

If you select LED bulbs for your Smoked Front Turn Signal Lens Pair, please note that you will also need to purchase an LED Relay and the Vanagon LED Turn Signal Resistor Kit for proper operation.

Are these turn signals street legal in the US?

These lenses are not DOT-approved in the U.S.A., though they do carry the European E-mark for use in Europe.

Which Vanagon models are compatible with this kit?

These lenses work with Vanagons from 1980 through 1991, including 2WD and 4WD drives, and various models such as the Westfalia Camper, Carat, Multivan, and Passenger versions.
