Will this windshield sill corner panel fit all Vanagons from 1980 to 1991?

Yes, this repair panel is designed to fit all 1980-1991 Vanagon models perfectly, making it an ideal replacement for that rust-prone windshield sill corner area.

Should I buy the driver side or passenger side panel? How do I know which one I need?

You should select the panel based on which side of the vehicle needs repair. The product listing offers separate options for driver side or passenger side, so check the rust damage location on your Vanagon before ordering.

How does this panel help prevent rust compared to the original part?

This repair panel addresses the lower outer corners of the windshield sill where water often gets trapped in the original design. By replacing the rusty area with this panel, you reduce moisture buildup that leads to rust — helping keep that area dry and rust-free.

Is this panel sold individually or as a pair?

Each panel is sold individually. You'll need to purchase separately if you want to replace both the driver and passenger side corners on your Vanagon.

Can I install this repair panel myself, or do I need professional help?

If you have basic skills and tools for bodywork, you can install this panel yourself following proper rust repair and welding steps. However, if you're not experienced with auto body repairs, seeking a professional will ensure the best fit and a long-lasting fix.

The lower windshield sill panel does an excellent job of keeping moisture from entering the vehicle. However, it also does a great job of trapping it between the body and the seal. Most of this rust-inducing moisture gathers at the lower outer corners, so we have procured these small repair panels to target the precise area that typically needs attention.

Fits: All 1980-91 Vanagon
