• 1976-79 Type II Bus
•  1980-91 Vanagon (2WD and 4WD) Does NOT fit diesel Vanagons.

Available options:

Standard Clutch Kit: This quality kit is manufactured by Sachs, and comes with their standard pressure plate, clutch disc, release (“throw out”) bearing, pilot bearing, felt washer, and alignment tool. We recommended this option for general use; mostly freeway driving, but not a lot of stop-and-go traffic or hilly terrain.

Heavy-Duty "Phase One" Clutch Kit: This kit includes everything in the GoWesty Standard clutch kit, except the standard disc is replaced with a Kennedy Engineering (KEP) Heavy-Duty Clutch Disc. The pedal feel remains unchanged, but the KEP disc can handle considerably more heat. Highly recommended for lots of stop-and-go traffic and hilly terrain, like San Francisco for example.

Heavy-Duty "Phase Two" Clutch: This kit includes everything in the GoWesty Standard clutch kit, except both the pressure plate and disc are replaced with Kennedy Engineering (KEP) Heavy-Duty parts. The pedal feel requires about 20% more force. Highly recommended for vehicles that see off-road driving (especially in deep sand), and vehicles running higher output engines.
