Are your body emblems and inscriptions worn and faded? Restore them!
Most Vanagon body emblems and inscriptions are nearing forty years old, and certainly look like it! Most of them originally had silver chrome lettering on a black base. After decades of sun damage and countless car washes, the shiny letters have lost their original luster. While some of these badges are available new, they can cost a pretty penny. If you want to save a few bucks and enjoy a weekend craft project, try restoring yours with a precision cut decal kit.
Fits: All years and models of Vanagon. Locate your decal in the "Vehicle Fit Table" and then make your selection in the drop-down menu.
Materials: Precision cut from high-quality outdoor grade vinyl, carefully matched to the original look of each emblem/inscription. Letters are a "brushed" look, while the larger round "VW" decals are chrome.

Clean and degrease emblem/inscription. Purchase a can of satin black spray paint designed for plastics, such as Krylon Fusion. Spray the edges of the emblem with several light coats. Let the paint cure overnight, then carefully apply each letter. If you are restoring a round "VW" emblem, you will apply the entire decal in one piece.
Note: Inscriptions with multiple letters are delivered in a vertical format as a reminder that each letter must be installed separately. Had we not done this, some folks may have attempted to apply the entire decal at once, resulting in poor letter placement.
