| Works With: | 1983-1991 |
| Manufacturer: | GoWesty |

Requires some hand & power tools and minimal mechanical knowledge. |
This GoWesty-designed mechanical throttle position switch (TPS) kit is a direct replacement for the original VW throttle body with one throttle position switch.
Assembly required. Detailed instructions included.
Caution: the Bosch-design electrical plug that this item accepts is the same as on many other components in the engine compartment, some that are close in proximity to each other. Be very careful not to mix them up! Always unplug/plug in one thing at a time whenever possible, label all plugs if more than one is to be removed, for example when replacing an engine long block, or even just the throttle body.
Note: Very early 1.9 liter Vanagon models had two switches. If that is what you have, this item will not work. Also, for this switch to work properly, it is imperative that the throttle shaft bore in your housing is not badly worn. If you have a 2-switch, or a badly worn housing, we have you covered with a completely new throttle body assembly, see related items below.
