My Vanagon is missing a brake line clip, and I'm not sure which one to get. Will this double clip work?

Yes! This is the exact double brake line holder (part #281-611-767) designed to replace the original, now obsolete 'single' clip. It's a perfect fit for all 1980-1991 Vanagons, regardless of drivetrain, transmission, or body style. It securely fastens your brake lines to the chassis, just like the original.

The original clip on my Vanagon's brake line broke. Is this a direct replacement I can install myself?

Absolutely. This quality aftermarket double clip (part #281-611-767) is specifically made to function as a direct replacement for the old single clips. It's designed to snap easily into place and hold your brake lines securely. You get one double clip per purchase, so make sure to order enough if you need to replace multiple.

I'm doing some brake work on my '88 Vanagon. How many of these clips do I need to buy?

This brake line holder is sold individually. It's a double clip designed to replace an old single clip. The number you need depends on how many old single clips you have that need replacing. Check your Vanagon's chassis and count how many single clips are missing or damaged. We recommend replacing any that are broken or missing to ensure your brake lines are properly secured.

Will this work on my Vanagon if it's a 4WD or Westfalia model?

Yes, this brake line holder (part #281-611-767) is compatible with all Vanagon models from 1980-1991. This includes all drivetrains (2WD and 4WD), all transmissions, and all body styles, including Westfalia campers. It's specifically designed to secure the brake lines to the chassis on these vehicles.
