Which Brake Master Cylinder option should I choose: OE Germany or Quality Aftermarket?

The OE Germany option is our premium choice and includes two three-prong brake switches. The Quality Aftermarket version is a more budget-friendly alternative but does not include the brake switches.

Will this master cylinder fit my specific Vanagon model and year?

Yes, this Brake Master Cylinder is designed to work with all Vanagon models from 1980 through 1991, including 2WD and 4WD versions with manual or automatic transmissions.

What should I know about the brake switches when installing this Cylinder?

Depending on your vehicle, you may need two-prong switches instead of the three-prong switches provided with the OE Germany option. You can easily swap over your existing switches or purchase the specific two-prong or three-prong switches you need.

Is this part easy to install if my brake pedal is currently sinking?

Many customers have reported that this part is easy to install and effectively solves issues where the brake pedal sinks or bypasses, restoring safe and reliable braking performance.
