The standard incandescent N-17-7382 bulb was originally used in all of the applications listed below, however, we have sourced LED versions as an alternative upgrade if you prefer. Also, check out our complete Exterior LED Bulb Kits for Vanagon and Eurovan.
Please use the application list below, and the drop-down menu to select the bulb option you need. Bulbs sold individually.
Standard Applications:
• Bus (1972-79): Tail light (1 required per side). Tail light also requires two (2) N-17-7322
• Vanagon (1980-91): Front turn signal (1 required per side)
• Eurovan (1997-03): Tail light (1 required per side). Tail light also requires two (2) N-17-7322
LED Applications:
• Vanagon (1980-91): Front turn signal (1 required per side) - Requires an LED Relay, and our Vanagon LED Turn Signal Resistor Kit
• Eurovan (1993-97): Front turn signal (1 required per side) - Requires an LED Relay, and our Eurovan LED Turn Signal Resistor Kit
• Eurovan (1999-03): Front turn signal (1 required per side) - Requires our Eurovan LED Turn Signal Resistor Kit
Why switch to LEDs? LEDs outperform incandescent bulbs in every key area: brighter light output, instant on/off response, vastly longer lifespan, and—most importantly—dramatically lower power consumption. This lower power draw translates to a much lower amperage requirement, which is especially beneficial for older vehicles.
In classic vehicles, aging wiring, terminals, and sockets naturally develop higher resistance over time. Because LEDs require less amperage, there's less voltage drop across the system, meaning more voltage reaches the light socket. Higher voltage at the socket improves lighting reliability—one of the main reasons vehicles transitioned from 6V to 12V systems in the first place.
The bottom line? With LEDs, your stop, turn, reverse, and marker lights are far more likely to work exactly when you need them to.
