A number of our kit assemblies include stainless "ear clamps" that require this tool for installation. Ear clamps are superior to the standard "screw" clamps because they never loosen up, and they do not damage the surface of the hose.
While one can get away with using "end cutter" or "bullnose" pliers for the job, we are pleased to offer this quality tool. This is a very good pincer plier and will be an excellent addition to your toolbox.
These pliers feature front and side jaws which make them well-suited to a variety of uses beyond ear clamps. They are also excellent for installing and removing CV-joint clamps.
