Will this upper grille pin fastener fit my Vanagon regardless of year, model, or drivetrain?

Yes! This upper grille pin fastener is designed as a direct replacement for all Volkswagen Vanagon models from 1980 to 1991. It works with every trim, including 2WD and 4WD versions, and fits all transmissions. If you have a Vanagon from these years, you're covered.

What’s included with each grille pin fastener, and how many should I buy for a full repair?

Each purchase includes the high-quality steel grille pin fastener only. Rubber washers and grille clips are not included, so be sure to add those to your cart separately if you need them. These fasteners are sold individually or in packs of 3 or 5. To replace all the grille pin fasteners on your Vanagon, check how many your upper grille needs (most require between 3-5 pins) and choose the pack that matches.

Is this grille pin easy to install, and is it better than the original part?

Absolutely! This grille pin fastener is designed for easy, hassle-free installation as a direct swap for the original hardware—no special tools needed. It's made from durable, high-quality steel for improved strength and longevity, offering a real upgrade over the factory plastic version. Customers have noted the noticeable improvement in fit and durability versus OEM parts.
