How does the Truck Mirror Glass Fix Kit (Convex) [Vanagon] actually work?

This kit provides an affordable way to fix cracked or discolored mirror glass. Instead of replacing the entire mirror assembly, you simply install this stick-on mirror façade directly over your existing glass to restore like-new visibility.

Will this mirror kit fit my specific Vanagon model?

Yes, this kit is designed to work with Vanagon models from 1980 through 1991, including 2WD and 4WD versions. It is compatible across various trims such as the Westfalia Camper, Campmobile, Carat/Hard Top Weekender, Multivan, Passenger, and Wolfsburg Weekender, regardless of whether you have a manual or automatic transmission.

What is included in the kit for installation?

The kit comes with everything you need to repair one mirror body: one convex mirror glass made in the USA from imported German glass, five adhesive pads, one alcohol prep pad for cleaning the surface, and detailed installation instructions.

Is this a permanent replacement for my truck mirror glass?

This kit is designed as an economical solution that installs over your current glass using high-quality adhesive pads. It is an excellent choice for those looking to avoid the cost of buying entirely new hardware when the mirror frame is still in good condition.
